If you did not see our recent comment, there was unfortunately a delay in receiving the Sketchmarks from our factory. Our final quality control and packaging (photos below) went according to plan last week. However, the typical transit time of 3-5 days to receive the goods from our factory took much longer than expected. It took a few extra days for the large number of Sketchmarks to reach the United States and be cleared for shipment to us. We spent a few days in limbo but finally received an update that the Sketchmarks are back in transit and will be delivered to us on Monday 6/17. The photo below shows our delivery time.
While we are upset that this took much longer than expected, we are happy to have an exact date that we can send out Sketchmarks! We have already enlisted extra help to ensure all orders will be shipped out within 24 hours of receiving the goods. We will be sending as many orders out as possible before the post office closes Monday, and will have the rest going out first thing Tuesday morning.
As we mentioned in the past, we already have all shipping material and have the labels ready for "batch" printing. We will be printing all labels over the weekend and attaching them to the packaging material. Come Monday, it will be very easy for us to slide in Sketchmarks and get orders out the door as quickly as possible. We apologize for the delay and lack of communication while we were waiting for a tracking update, however we are very excited to finally get the Sketchmarks and share them with all of you!
A few quick notes:
Domestic Shipping
All US orders will ship via USPS first class. We are centrally located in Indiana so we expect 99% of orders to be delivered within 3 days (by the end of next week). You will receive a tracking number over the weekend but please allow until Monday/Tuesday for it to start updating.
International Shipping
We will be using the same shipping consolidator we have used for several past Kickstarter campaigns. All orders will be shipped together to our shipping partner in Chicago. From here, they will divide the orders by country and ship them with similar packages. These orders are then delivered to you by your local post. It typically takes 1-3 days for the orders to reach Chicago and about 2-7 days for these orders to be delivered from there. You will receive a tracking number from Backerkit but please know the international orders have minimal tracking. However, we have had great success with this service getting packages to backers quickly and cost-effectively.

We just received confirmation from our manufacturer that the Sketchmarks have passed the quality control testing. Now, they are on their way to the packaging facility to be assembled and prepared for shipment to us!
We are expecting the packaging to only take a couple days and the Sketchmarks should be ready for shipment to us by early next week at the latest. We are hopeful that we will receive them before the end of next week, barring any delay.
To prepare for this final step, we will be charging all credit cards in Backerkit tomorrow. These are the charges for anyone who added funds/add-ons after the campaign.
We will also be locking all addresses tomorrow. Please let us know if your address has changed or will change in the next few weeks. If you are in the process of moving, we can hold your package a few extra days to ensure it gets to your new address.
Once addresses are locked, we will begin preparing and printing shipping labels. We already have all the packaging material, and plan to print the labels a few days in advance and have them already applied to the packaging to make fulfillment much quicker. If you receive a shipping email, please allow a few days for the order to actually hit the postal service.
